Abstract

El propósito de este estudio es el de poner en relieve el potencial del turismo gastronómico como un mecanismo para el desarrollo local basado en las percepciones de quienes hacen parte de las acciones llevadas a cabo en Cataluña en diferentes escalas geográficas. El estudio reporta los resultados obtenidos después de la aplicación de la metodología DOFA (Debilidades, Fortalezas, Oportunidades, y Amenazas) a partir de entrevistas semiestructuradas. Los resultados aquí presentados, ponen de manifiesto las diferentes estrategias y roles que pueden ser desempeñados por los agentes públicos y privados para promover el desarrollo local a través del turismo gastronómico en un territorio. El estudio actual, ofrece información útil para los planificadores y tomadores de decisiones interesados en llevar a cabo, las acciones de turismo gastronómico no sólo a nivel local sino también a nivel regional.
