Call for Papers, SPECIAL ISSUE: “Fashion between Heritage and Tourism”

New Deadlines!

Through this call we would like to take stock of the studies and researches about this topic, collecting contributions from different disciplines that may contextualize this field that includes various industry sectors. Indeed, the intersection between two worlds such as fashion and tourism, is in the junction of cultural industries, that includes cultural heritage, museums, libraries, archives and a series of activities on quality of life and creative ones that originate creativity and include advertising, film and video, architecture, music, art and antique markets, live entertainment, computer and video games, publishing, crafts, software, design, television, radio and fashion. It is just the multidisciplinary aspect, intrinsic to the idea of creativity, that hasn’t led, even today, any univocal definition for cultural and creative industries. Its establishment, as a matter of fact, stills an open question. In this sense, the development of fashion tourism, so rich in research evolving paths, can contribute to the specification of this new industrial sector.

We welcome papers across a wide range of disciplines including anthropology, architecture, business, communication, cultural studies, heritage studies, history, geography, media, museum studies, sociology, statistics, tourism, urban studies.
